For lots of Temperment, looks, comfort, buy a peruvian paso
|
Are you a farmer that is looking for a great farm horse? A horse that can do it all? A horse that is an easy keeper and does well on poorer paddocks?
The peruvian paso was bred for the ranchers in Peru. They bred and culled horses for over 500 years till they got the perfect stock horse.
The peruvian paso is different in that all four legs can be in different directions at the same time, without compremiseing the horses stability. They are able to go sure-footed over shale and gravel, up hill or down, without shakeing the rider. The unique gait of this horse keeps the rider level without almost any up and down or side to side movement. They are fairly narrow across the wither, but deep thru the chest.
They, being bred in peru, which is several hundred feet above sea level, means that they have greater than average lung capacity. They can "go" all day and not break down as other horses would.
They have a very "people" personality. By that I mean they enjoy the company of people. If you are getting older, and want to continue to ride, without the physical stress on your body, you really MUST have a look in at this horse.

This is Especia TDR ( Abby). She was recently imported from Canada. She will go to Tesaro late this summer, and her offspring will be offered for sale. She is a stunning red roan with a bay dam. She could throw a blue or again red roan.
